What is Device Restriction?
Device restriction limits how many, or specifically which, devices an account may use to watch protected content. It is one of the main defenses against account sharing.
How It Works
The platform registers a viewer's devices and enforces a cap: for example, playback allowed on up to two devices, or only on devices the account has explicitly authorized. Attempts to play on additional or unrecognized devices are blocked or require the viewer to swap a registered device, subject to cooldowns.
