Getting started​

You will receive the following credentials from us:

Secret keys

These credentials are supposed to be kept secret. Ensure that these are accessible by privileged personnel only. Standard best practices about keeping secret values should apply to these keys. Anyone having access to these keys will be able to decrypt and play videos which are encrypted using these.

In order to disable compromised keys, send email to support@vdocipher.com

widevine AES key: __64 char hex___
widevine IV: ____32 char hex_____
widevine signer name: __string___
widevine content key URL: ___URL____
License API Key: ___64 char string___
  • The first 4 are used during encryption to connect to the license server.
  • The last one is a shared secret used to generate the temporary license URLs required to play the video
